When a seller lists an item that has never been in the Discogs database, is it then reviewed either by an individual or a committee to make sure it is a legitimate release and therefore allowed to be sold on Discogs?

I have seen, as we all have, those listings that are unofficial or whatever and are not permitted to be sold, so of course I know that I cannot promote one of those. But I now have listed an item that seems innocent to me, but I suppose there could be a gray area with it.

So if Discogs determines that it is not permitted to be sold, will I be ed and told to take it down? Or will Discogs remove it and notify me? I would have no problem with either of those and would cooperate completely. Or is there some way I can call attention to it and actually request that it be reviewed for legitimacy?

Just trying to be the good guy here and make sure I am following the rules.....any input appreciated.

Certain unofficial labels are automatically tagged so are blocked from the marketplace. Of course there are many other unofficial releases that are not tagged. These will often be reported to staff who may add a block.
Then again there are some labels that are in a grey area with both unofficial and official releases so a blanket ban of the label would be inappropriate.
