Automatic Cancellation Policy: Orders will be cancelled if payment is not received within 4 days.
Thank you for checking out my page and items for sale. I am a "hobby seller" from Scotland, simply selling off items from my personal collection that I no longer wish to keep. I am not a business or trader.
All items over £15 are sent tracked, along with all items going to a small handful of certain countries (Discogs ASP details which places). This is for buyer and seller protection where a history of missing untracked packages is regularly discussed in Discogs forums etc.
If your country is unavailable, please message me – I may have simply forgot to tick a box when implementing the shipping policy. Everything on here has been implemented by Discogs ASP system – I ship by weight which means you pay what it costs me to ship (more or less). I usually ship the next day or within 48 hrs max.
My preferred courier is UK Royal Mail “Click & Drop” service which has full IOSS digital integration, meaning you should not be charged extra for local VAT & Sales taxes. You MAY be charged for customs import duties, but these are outwith my control and that of Discogs. These are fees that your customs or revenue authority applies to the package because of your request to import the item(s) into your country (ie your Discogs order).
I will consider every “Make An Offer(s)”, especially if you are going to buy 2 or more items. I do review my prices regularly, but if you think my price is too hot, send me a message with your reasoning and I will see if we can reach a deal – I'm looking to sell and make deals, not hold stock for months/years, so make your case..!!
I aim to grade fairly - I want a happy customer that will return and buy more stuff. Annoying them with an overgraded item is unlikely to create a returning customer, so I want to be honest with my gradings.
Please let me know if you are not happy with your purchase. I will try and fix the problem in a way that suits us both. I follow Discogs Sellers of Service and PayPal’s & conditions. The fees charged by Discogs and PayPal are there to pay for to help buyer & seller avoid disputes and reach an amicable outcome.
Also note that I use lots of cardboard, poly sleeves, bubble wrap and tape to send your package. I will occasionally reuse or recycle materials to pack your purchase. Our planet’s resources are finite, so I will recycle/reuse and encourage you to do likewise with the packaging materials that I send you.
I will add positive to the order once positive has been added by the buyer - that way I know everything is OK with the transaction and my seller is the last piece of the order. If you feel you cannot add positive , then please reach out to me first before adding neutral/negative - , it is part of Discogs T&Cs that you should the seller first, before adding such .
Drop-shippers and people asking me to "send as a gift" to non-UK addresses, please note the following. I send to the PayPal address and will include an invoice on the package showing how much has been paid. The Customs CN 22/23 notice will say "Sale of Goods" and its cost. If you order from me, you understand and accept this condition. I'm happy to supply your drop-ship order, but these are my .
Accuracy:
I do aim to sell the correct pressing, item variant, packaging anomaly, matrix stamping etc. Right down to the correct SID/IFPI code of the CD etc. I have been on discogs for a while so hopefully mistakes are rare - but I am human. If the correct pressing/packaging type is important in your order, please message me to check the particular detail(s) of an item.
Returns:
I am a small hobby seller, not a business/trading entity. I will discuss returns with buyers on a case by case basis. If I have made a mistake with an incorrect item and/or grading then in the aim of fairness, the obligation is on me as the seller to have a fair refund policy - I aim to offer a full refund for the item(s) and the initial P&P cost, once they have been returned to me safely. The return P&P cost is normally borne by the buyer (the analogy is if you buy a new record from a record shop which you later find to be faulty - they will refund the cost of the record to you once you have returned the record to the shop - they won't refund the cost of you traveling back to the record shop - any train fares, car parking costs, petrol costs etc are borne by the buyer). Nothing in Discogs and/or PayPal obliges seller to pay return postage. Let's not make a big deal about this as I aim to grade correctly and fairly, as well as aiming to be accurate when listing, sending records/CDs etc. So I hope we shouldn't need to worry about returns and refunds etc, but as a Discogs seller, I do need to have a returns policy stated on here.
Lost & Missing Items:
If your order has not arrived within 14 days (UK) or 31 days (elsewhere) please me and I will submit a lost package claim with UK Royal Mail. They will investigate and provide an response within 28 days - in practice, this can be as little as 10 days. If they find the item to be lost, they will reimburse me - at which point I will refund you in full. I am happy to update you on progress at any point during this process. Please do not submit negative for a lost item while this investigation is underway - Discogs T&Cs state that you cannot submit negative before allowing the seller (me) to make good an agreed remedy (feel free to check this Discogs for buying & selling). Any negative applied in this manner will be removed by Discogs.
Photos:
I can supply photos, but please appreciate the time and effort involved. Additionally, I am encountering a number of requests for photos of low value items that do not lead to an order. Please only ask if you are genuinely considering buying the item(s). I reserve the right to decline your photo request if I am busy fulfilling actual purchases from other buyers or if I feel the request is frivolous. You might be really interested in that 75p single, but do you really need to see a photo...?? If I have it listed then I do have it and it is in the condition stated. As my minimum order amount is £3.50, I don't really see the need to provide photos for something costing less than £3.50. Requests for photos on a £25 album are more likely to be provided..!! 😁
Minimum Order Value:
Following a recent forum discussion, can I make clear that my minimum order is £3.50. I have a lot of low cost items, but with the discogs/PayPal fees etc, I have to set this minimum to absorb the fees associated with selling on here. If your total is less than £3.50 then please look through my sales lists to find something extra to add in - I have lots of low cost items that can be easily added to your purchase. Hope you understand - feel free to message me if you have any questions regarding this.
"No Inner Sleeve"
I am currently selling off my collection of 12" singles. Most British 12" singles did not have inner sleeves and those that did might simply have a plain white paper inner sleeve. My listing will state what inner sleeve (if any) is with the single. If my listing says "no inner sleeve" it does not follow that the inner sleeve is missing etc.
Buyer Cancellation:
It's perfectly natural to order then change your mind. I am happy to help you cancel your order. Please note the following:
Cancel before payment - this one is easy. Provided you have NOT made payment, then simply message me on the order page and I will cancel the order. No negative will be left by me
Cancel after payment - this one is a little trickier, but still possible. I can cancel the order, provided I have not shipped the package. Please note I pack and ship quickly (sometimes same day as the order, but next business day at the latest), so if you have second thoughts, please message me immediately. If the package is still in my hands, then I will cancel BUT please note that any fees charged by PayPal will not be refunded. In a refund case, PayPal do not return their fees to me, so I cannot them on to the buyer in their refund. There may also be an amount of UK VAT in the PayPal fee too. The buyer has implemented a PayPal payment and PayPal must be paid for processing the payment. What happens after that does not concern PayPal as they want paid for following the buyer's instructions. This matter is regularly discussed on Discogs Marketplace forum and you are welcome to read the many posts on this matter. No negative will be left by me. Any negative left on me regarding PayPal fees not refunded will be removed by Discogs.
Cancel after shipment - is not possible. The package is on its way and cancellation is no longer possible.
Lastly...enjoy your order. Nothing nicer than opening a package and seeing that vinyl LP or CD or cassette etc that you have bought. Music does bring a warm fuzzy glow to us all and God knows, we need fuzzy glows these days..!!
Rock on. 😎👍
