• UK LP deliveries are sent standard Royal Mail, tracked.
• All international deliveries (LPs, CDs, cassettes, 7” singles) are shipped air mail tracked.

• 12" records are packaged in brand new super-rigid mailers and reinforced with extra stiffeners. It costs us a little extra, but it’s definitely worth it.
• All 12" records are sold in poly lined inner sleeves.
• All 7" singles are sold in polythene sleeves
• Despatch is usually on the same working day. Order before 4.00pm and we’ll move heaven/earth to get your parcel out.
• All vinyl is cleaned on the amazing Okki Nokki record machine. (https://www.okkinokki.com/) The difference that this equipment can make to a slice of vinyl is nothing short of astonishing. LPs that once sounded like an audio fry-up can emerge as quiet as any record in your collection. Whist the Okki Nokki cannot remove scratches, it is worth bearing in mind that much (most?) surface noise is caused by dirt and deposits trapped in the groove. ( when people used to smoke anywhere and everywhere? We believe that an awful lot of vintage vinyl is coated with a film of tobacco smoke & nicotine deposits…and worse…) We like to think that records sold by The Vinyl Curator are as clean as you’d get anywhere.
• All records are inspected under very strong light and checked on a Technics SL1200mkII turntable fitted with an Ortofon Concorde OM PRO cartridge.
• Grading is very conservative. When we say immaculate, we mean it. The curse of modern LP packaging is the hairline scratches that are left on the surface of the vinyl. These are caused by the friction between stiff card and unlined paper sleeves, dust/dirt and the soft vinyl. If we discover hairline scratches on a record, we’ll downgrade the LP by one notch i.e. from Near Mint to Very Good Plus. But hairline scratches rarely interfere with playback. Tics and crackle stem from either deep scratches, dirty grooves or poor quality vinyl.
