PRESSING IDENTIFICATION:
I try to identify the specific pressing of each item for sale, including adding previously undocumented releases to the Discogs database. Nonetheless, occasionally, identifying markings might not *exactly* match those listed in Discogs. Ambiguous LP runout, CD matrix, cassette shell or other markings are usually in the listing on higher-priced items. If you need precise information about any particular listed item, please inquire before placing your order.
GRADING:
Except for factory-sealed items, every record and tape I sell is gently cleaned and usually play-graded from beginning to end using high quality headphones in a quiet environment. CDs are play graded only when indicated in the description, because VG+ or Mint CDs can be expected to play perfectly. When I grade records, sound counts for more than visual appearance. When grading covers, sleeves, and inserts, general aesthetic appearance counts for more than a technical count of imperfections. Please keep in mind that grading is subjective. I try to be fair, but I also expect that especially picky buyers will buy only items that are new/sealed. "Near mint" by definition means "exceptional, but not perfect." I would be happy to provide pictures of actual items if requested.
For factory sealed items, the exterior cover will be graded to the extent that it's visible through the factory plastic and jewel case if applicable, and all interior items (including the media itself) are presumed to be Mint. Factory seals will not be opened to condition.
Consistent with Discogs grading standards, jewel cases are not considered when grading CDs and cassettes. Your CD or cassette shipment will include a jewel case for each item unless stated otherwise, but this should be considered to be part of the shipping packaging materials; the jewel case is not guaranteed to be intact when it arrives.
Most items graded M are unopened. Occasionally, a CD with no visible defects of any kind will be graded M. Regardless of condition, all items should be presumed to be opened and used unless the description says "NEW & SEALED" or equivalent language.
RETURNS:
Because I can't inspect the contents of unbroken factory seals, I do not accept returns of factory-sealed items. Returns of other items are accepted only if a return is requested by message through Discogs' order page within 7 days (168 hours) of when USPS tracking indicated the item was delivered. Returned items must be in the same condition in which they were sold. Returned items must be received within 30 days of the sale date. The original shipping charge will not be refunded, and the cost of shipping the return will not be reimbursed. On occasion I may issue a refund without a return requirement, but this is not guaranteed.
