Extremely delayed deliveries are uncommon, but it does sometimes happen. By purchasing an item from me, you are also agreeing to exercise patience. Sometimes EXTREME patience. I send things out very shortly after payment. I have no control over shipment times once the item has been taken to the PO. Because of Discogs billing policy, orders must be paid for within 1 week of availability confirmation. Otherwise order will be cancelled. LPs shipped in sturdy record mailer, with record outside sleeve and additional inner reinforcement.
International orders: Discogs initiated an automated shipping policy a couple years ago, making it very difficult to correctly set up international shipping prices, so I stopped shipping to most countries overseas. I recently set up again for Canada, and the UK, but new VAT rules have kept me away from resuming shipping to other countries. I can do it, but only on a case by case basis.
Discogs has recently started charging sellers a percentage of the shipping price, essentially driving up the cost of shipping to everywhere. If the shipping price seems a little on the high side, it is only to make up for this additional charge by Discogs.
US: 1-2 records media $7.50 (.50 each additional)/priority $14 ($1.50 each additional). This includes tracking
Insurance may be required for some orders. Usually around $2.50
CANADA: CAVEAT-Because of Discogs' imperfect automated shipping, prices may have to be adjusted despite what is automatically set up. I will let you know if there is a problem. But generally speaking it is $18 up to 7 ounces, then $25(until 2 pounds, then it jumps. I have weights above 4 pounds listed at $75. It may be more. It may be less. me first). ed gets expensive
Australia: 1-2 records $36. Gets higher above 2 pounds
REST OF WORLD: Generally 1-2 records $33 (Up to 2 pounds, then it jumps up kind of a lot. After 3 pounds it tends to get crazy). ed gets expensive.
Some international shipments may require insurance, which can be expensive. If you wish to have an item insured, ask me and I will give you a quote
Some countries charge a duty when the record arrives. Sorry, but I will not help pay for any part of this. That's just how it goes sometimes. I have no control over those policies.
In the case of sealed records, I can open them before shipping (after I receive payment), just to make sure there are no major problems. However, it should be understood that a sealed record does not necessarily guarantee an absolutely perfect record. Often sleeve scuffs or pressing flaws can be expected when a record is finally opened, and this is by no means cause enough for me to accept a return. I also try to evaluate as best I can whether a sealed record may be warped. The sleeve tends to be a good indicator. Though, usually, if I have any doubt about its flatness, I will have opened it to check, and will then not list it as sealed anyways.
I use paypal shipping, which means I also send to the address listed in paypal, If your Discogs mailing address and paypal mailing address are not the same, you must let me know if you prefer me to send to your Discogs address. Otherwise, I will automatically send it to the address listed in paypal. Also, if your paypal address is incorrect or has errors that cause the package to be returned to me, you will have to pay an additional postage charge for me to send it out again to the corrected address.
I will only accept Paypal from s with STRONG . Especially regarding international customers. I know this may seem intense or even weird, but Paypal's own policies have made it a risk to allow Paypal payment from just anyone. Plus I have been burned enough times that I just have to be strict about this policy.
