SOC sticker on cover
SOL sticker on record's center label
LABEL refers to the record's center labels
DISHING a dish warp
INNER short for inner sleeve - refers to a record's paper sleeves
INSERT basically anything that is included/inserted within the cover of the record besides the inner sleeve
DNAP does not affect playback
SCRATCH - an audible mark, often visible, noticeable to the touch
DIMPLE - a pressing flaw. Imperfections or small divots in the vinyl surface
HAIRLINES - fine scratches, typically faint and often superficial and dnap
SCUFFING - type of surface mark on the record, some pressings are more prone to superficial maring/scuffing — a scuff can be caused by the spindle, stiff paper sleeves etc and range from superficial to audible
GROOVE WEAR - record has been played a lot, dulling the grooves and increasing surface noise. Cue burn is another type of groove wear and often caused by repeated back cueing.
