Currently, I only ship within North America using CanadaPost. CDs and 45s will be shipped lettermail for $4 in Canada. If you want insurance or tracking let me know, Canada post charges extra for that and I'll need to quote it for you. For CDs shipping to the US, Canada Post will not allow me to ship letter mail, so I'm forced to use Small packet. I find this ridiculous but there seems to be no way around it - you can't fight city hall, as it were. So as to reduce the shipping from ridiculous to reasonable, I suggest you consider purchasing multiple CDs at once as I add $1 for each additional disc.
LP records will always be shipped with tracking with shipping starting at $18; if you buy more than one you'll save big time on shipping. I think I have the shipping calculator set up correct to quote that, but if the shipping is off I'll correct it when I invoice you.
For over-sized CDs, DVDs, and multiple-item orders, the new shipping calculator Discogs has implemented calculates the shipping charge automatically. If it seems off to you, send me a note, it probably is. I'll adjust at payment time. They'll get it eventually....
I charge shipping costs + cost of bubble mailer/box - I don't gouge on shipping, that's just silly.
