* domestic orders $55 and over, 5 items or less, are insured at my expense.
* domestic orders $80 and over, 6 items or more, are insured at my expense. the usps policy is (like fedex and ups) if it's not insured, it's just tough crap if they lose it or destroy it. (the fact that i'm giving them money for a service apparently doesn't bind them to that contract)
* if your subtotal is under $55 you may insure it by adding $2 to your order (i'll pay the difference) the insured option should appear at checkout. most likely it will get there fine either way; i'm just saying consider it. i do everything i can to protect your purchase -spending time and money carefully packing it and getting it to the post office. if something goes wrong after i've mailed it i'll do what i can for you but that may not be much.
... in any case please make sure all delivery information is accurate to help avoid problems.

* orders shipped media mail within 4 "business days" of payment. (saturday, sunday & holidays are not counted). it's been taking about a week, but the usps doesn't want to hear about it until it's >2 weeks late. i am not responsible for postal service failings. all i can do is my best, and i mail it as fast as i can; but once it leaves my hands, it's...out of my hands! you could let me know if it's not there in 8 days, so i can worry with you! but if you're going to get your panties in a bunch and blame me, don't order from me! i'm sure someone else has what you want who'll be glad to charge you extra for priority mail.
i was told by a usps agent that anything mailed after friday afternoon won't leave the post office until monday. (tuesday if monday's a holiday) I don't fully believe this, but it's based on this i exclude saturdays from "business days" -because accordingly i might wait 'till monday to mail even if it's ready to ship on saturday.

package insurance varies by destination. some places have limits lower than the value of the item.

please bear in mind that often a record is priced low for poor condition. i personally can tune out surface noise pretty well, but everyone's tolerance of conditional factors is different; so some folks will love the free music, while others will consider it free garbage! Sometimes a low price is only due to a saturated market or low demand and the record or cd is fine. read my descriptions, read the discogs grading guidelines.

* i pack your items for a safe journey, using new materials and clean recycled ones. i may use bags intended for food. These have not been used for food! -nor anything else. i reuse cardboard. i'm conscious and won't put a dirty surface against your item. if you don't like the idea of having your items arrive with re-used materials, don't order from me.
...and i sincerely hope you recycle/reuse whatever you can of these materials.

* i'll accept returns as long as the item(s) comes back to me in exactly the same condition as when i sent it. (and i might have proof, you!) the buyer pays for return shipping and i'll send a refund after inspection once it arrives back. i'm honest and thorough about the condition of my records and i'm confident they leave my hands as i've described them; so returns would be considered a courtesy, and not something i'm willing to take a loss on. this is not a big corporation; this is me, selling my beloved personal collection.
