Shipping Policy Bitching

Discogs before Covid was awesome ..Now there just another greedy corporate ....
So i sell here only when i am in sydney [rarely]
During Covid Discogs ushered threw the new Shipping policies
Which should of been auto based on postcodes ....?????
But in there wisdom they decided the buyer knows how to which shipping policy is best for them
[which is inevitably the cheapest ] Which means people 4000kms away in Western Australia
choose Sydney shipping policies [where my shop is and the cheapest]

He left negative because i politely asked for more money on shipping
[which has since been removed]

Then i have to ask for more money on shipping [ makes me look like fraudster ] [and cheap and petty]
[some weeks i am $100,s short from this] and now that Paypal calls the shots around payment details on discogs
and inevitable they get paid TWICE for one transaction.
Discogs knows this ..and also knows that little shops will take the hit to get the sale..
So discogs gets more cash and the sellers get less and the buyer gets the same either way ..
Win Win Win for discogs [if ya short sighted enough]
Just in case discogs wasnt getting enough for doing very little except extracting money from the sellers
they also introduced another Tax ...they told NO ONE about
Shipping fee ....they dont do any shipping ...it was already paid for
so instead on the 9% for keeping this site running ..[Discogs seller fee] its more like 11%
They would not be HONEST with there core sauce of income [full time sellers]
and it took me 6 weeks to work out why i was losing more money !!
Then there is the VAT tax which looks just as dodge
So sometimes its more like 13% percent Discogs is taking
[i have not mentioned PayPal fees yet ]
So if ya wondering why shipping is so high
Its a Corporate Tax [cleverly hidden of coarse ]
Know these days as Cost of Living also Cost of living Crisis ... read [Extra Greedy Corporate Tax ]
So to get paid anywhere near the listed price sellers need to UP the cost of Shipping
The upshot of all this if you have bought from me before
and your one of the 99.6% of happy customers of my 25,000 sales
please dont pay via paypal and or buy OUTSIDE of discogs

this reaction to there greediness
and if you dont pay bye Paypal they will hound you with threats of negative
to keep you in corporate line ... But i can leave positive after we finalize the order
and they cannot remove it ... I have been doing this for the last 4 years with regular customers

For the whole time i have had a Buisness with Auspost [15 years] [Australian National {part Privatized} Mail service]
They have been using Mafia Tactics to get me to pay them more than i owe them
[when i had a young family i just paid out of fear]
I kept battling them keeping my cool but refusing to pay anything but what i owed in the manifests
Managers kept coming and going and the demands kept coming and i kept not paying

As usual i just refused to pay all but what i owed them
That cost me my Buisness and now shipping is at the regular Corporate Greed Prices
to give you an example of the mark up
before covid the price of fuel was about what it is now
its cost me $4.80 Aud to send a cd to EU
Now it costs me $23 Aud for the same with the Buisness
Auspost sighted the amount of planes flying as there reason for the marked increase
plenty of planes flying in 2022 -2025

Cost of living Crisis is just GREEDY CORPORATE TAX
