it wouldn’t be a garage compilation without the two classic things it seems, a shadow of knights song, and a cover song, this time we got dylan&count 5 and not tobacco road haha(not knockin it). to the music-i thought the lp was nice and the “skip” on action woman was not noticeable. the sound source on many of the songs are great like “spazz”-however since some of these songs were taken straight from the record there will be some background noise prevalent on most songs like the fuzz throughout “psychotic reaction” -in the end it’s most likely how you will hear most of these songs if you get the chance to own these rarities, so i’m a fan and this will be a frequent play for me. 4/5 all together

One of the first of many garagepunk comps issued in the wake of "Nuggets". The original was issued on the fictitious Mastercharge Records, being compiled by Greg Shaw of BOMP Magazine from his own collection of original 45s. This is a straight reissue on the equally made-up BFD Records. There is a mastering fault halfway thru side 1, whereby the master tape was not properly recorded and the previous recording can be heard printing through - a reminder that this was of course a DIY effort :-)
