30th Anniversary Edition
100% Analog AAA Mastering From Real Analog Tapes!
Dead Quiet 180-Gram Vinyl Pressed At RTI
Exquisitely Restored Cover Art Printed By Stoughton.
Mastering Notes
Wonderland is sourced from a beautifully preserved 30-ips tapes that say both "Master" and "production copy." You be the judge! What is certain is that these are the best and perhaps the only existing analog tapes for this classic release! When mastering this LP we compared what we were hearing from the tapes to original US and UK LPs. Mastering notes included with the tapes show that the original LP was bass-limited from 40Hz down. Of course we restored the wonderfully full bass response that's present on the tapes, and mastered wide open with no compression applied. The result is an alive and pulsing beat with foundation like you've never heard- the best Wonderland has ever sounded!

Edited 4 years agoGreat sounding record, although the original UK is superior. The cover is very high quality, though it doesn't have the original insert.

This is a superb pressing! Crystal clear sound and pure, warm dynamics!! When I ordered this from Amazon I was intending to get the version from the Erasure 30 series, so I was surprised when it was this other pressing. And yeah, it's missing a track, but the sound quality is so good I'm not even mad.

Edited 5 years agoIt's kind of a shame this is sourced from.the butchered US version - it bumps off the two darkest songs in favour of a short B side and the album is over almost before it began. Push Me Shove Me is the throbbing heart of this record and Pistol is its thrilling conclusion, yet neither survived the trip across the Atlantic. Equally strange, and kind of counter-intuitive, is the fact Wonderland was released in the States a month early, which does make me wonder if this shorter US edition was in fact the original planned tracklist despite its (IMO) inferiority.
