Great sounding piece of vinyl. Tight and powerful low end. Crisp and clear mids-highs. Good press here.

This album is massive. Huge hits and every song is great. The pressing is fantastic. It would make even the most basic systems sound amazing.

Edited 3 years agoLet's just get down to business here.THIS is the best Judas Priest record, PERIOD. By 1982, everything came together and they produced a masterpiece. There is outstanding writing and arrangements, highly technical playing, an excellent production to match.
Highlights are "Electric Eye", "Screaming For", "Another Thing", and "Devil's Child". These tunes alone are some of the hardest rocking anthems in the entire Priest catalog. Tipton and Downing are locked and loaded, delivering the goods with some rapid fire duel guitar work. You know it was loud in the studio when half the songs end with amp . Halford is in top form, screaming back to Hell's own gate, in his own commanding style.
The instruments are tracked cleanly and well mixed, which is always a challenge with dual distorted (and chorused) guitars. The drums sound very '80s, but what can you do? Great soundstage and mastering.
This pressing is superb. Still have my copy, purchased in '82 with my allowance.
I'm giving it all the stars. You must own this. Recommended.
