I now own 2 vinyl versions of this 2LP. I got into this band about 2 years ago and am completely hooked. In fact, I cannot listen to any other thrash band anymore, because I inevitably start comparing them to the mighty Vektor, and then have to laugh in most cases... This album is so good that it hurts. A milestone. The greatest thing released this decennium, and maybe even the previous one. Long live Vektor.

Edited one year agoTerminal Redux is not just another progressive thrash metal album, rather, it is a great conceptual work made from the ideas of a broad musical outlook and a tribute to science fiction as an artistic genre. This album covers a lot: difficult compositional ideas and at the same time memorable arrangements, the extreme metal sound and at the same time the album holds the attention for more than 70 minutes, an unexplored world of space and at the same time a very fascinating lyrical concept.
Vektor has the same talented and inspired identity that many bands lack these days. That is why the album was not just well received by the audience, it showed that the young band has something to say and it can be said that the student has finally outgrown the teacher (if you know what I mean). If measured by the categories of continuity and tradition in non-commercial extreme music, the relatively young band Vektor was able to record an incomparably more creative album than the current "fathers of Thrash Metal" who have survived to our time. Perhaps, after several generations of metalheads, this album will become a classic, but it is a classic of the XXI century.
The original "first press" is done well, although it could always be done better, for example, released on double 180 gram vinyl - still, this music is designed to get full aesthetic pleasure. However, the sound of "regular" vinyls of ordinary mass does not cause outrage - the mastering is successful, the sound is clear, detailed, balanced, loud enough. As for the quality of printing, everything is done fairly standard by Earache standards - cheap thin paper for gatefold and the thinnest paper for innersleeve. A separate dislike for the lack of anti-static packages for vinyls, which are already used by all metal labels, except for the "English legend" - even when buying the edition in the factory wrap, there will already be mark on brand new vinyls.

The sound is phenomenal. It is different master from CD, huge dynamics. The recording itself is very astounding. The poor loudness war production of CD ruins it all.

Love this record(s). Sound is great and this is one of those albums that needs to be experienced on vinyl. Epic Sci-Fi Thrash Metal journey.

My copy has a static type of pop in just the left speaker just during Cygnus terminal (a2). Has anyone else had this problem? It's definitely something with the pressing. Any information anyone has would be appreciated
