I just recently got this and I'm completely impressed, I've been a Tull fan for over 50 years and I know I must have listened to this album a thousand times and I've had a half dozen versions of this album. Steven Wilson put a lot of love into this, The sound stage is fuller and crisper than I've ever heard it and best of all it's just plain more fun than ever.

The Aqualung Adapted Edition is one of the best of the Jethro Tull "book" editions. It helps that the Aqualung album is among the most legendary and outstanding of the Jethro Tull catalog. Most importantly, this release corrects the issues that were found with the terribly flawed 40th edition, and it does sound great. Steve Wilson and Ian Anderson got this one right.
This edition is without a doubt the definitive release of "Aqualung." It is now out of print like most of these “book” Tull editions and has greatly escalated in price. If you have to have it, you will need to pay through the nose from a reseller, as it will never be rereleased per Ian Anderson.
Unlike the majority of the Jethro Tull catalog, the Adapted Edition is a collectible and an investment vehicle as well as an essential listening experience. With the stock market and bitcoin crashing, this Aqualung book edition might be the place to put your retirement money. -
i got this 4 cd steve wilson 40th ann box set 6 years late!!! anyway the 2 audio discs sound great and disc #2 has a lot of interesting bonus stuff i never heard before, i wanted to get this tull super deluxe edition as ( for me) i felt this was one of jethro tulls best albums as i always felt they could be hit n miss!!! anyway the dvd & dvd audio discs are great as well!!!! this comes with a nice thick killer booklet with a lot to say inside & also this contains vintage photos of tull from the 1970/71 era included here, any tull die hard or real fan of this 1971 classic will love this high quality release!!!!!! seems like this is one of the most expensive ones to get hold of now as this is long oop.....
-
And why do they call THIS version the 40th when it was released 45 years after the original?! Shouldn't it BE the 45th Anniversary edition?!
-
Does anyone else have a misprint/error edition like mine? No booklet glued in, just 2 pages glued together!! I bought it new so I know the booklet didn't just "fall out"....now I hafta spend over $100USD to buy a fully intact version!
