I find it fascinating that instead of going back to basics for his final album, the dying David Bowie went experimental with Blackstar. It's almost a year old and I still find it to be an emotional and captivating listen and I don't mean that out of sympathy. I really do think it's up there among his best works and a stellar end to a legendary career.
