Neil Landstrumm moves into your BEDROOMS AND CITIES for his third album, and the thudding of "Tension in New York" lets you know that he's not letting up one bit. It's got a deep melodic element that helps push the track along, while "Stretch Copenhagen" never lets the energy flag.
Landstrumm here has really begun to hone his skills, and nowhere is this more apparent than on the deep, resonant "Leaving Edinburgh Humour" or the funky squelches of "Gothham City (Football Club)." "Minneapolis Bass Treatment" stays true to its name with a ear-rumbling bass, which lets up occasionally to let the grinding synths above get their say, and the breathy "Miami Vice" slinks in, deep and driving. The enigmatic "George Shoulders Is Alive" has a large scope to it with bigger sweeps and it definitely confirms one fact: Neil Landstrumm is alive.
