1st German edition, manufactured and distributed by EMI Electrola GmbH.
Standard sleeve with solid printed cardboard inner sleeve showing additional artwork, lyrics, credits and catalogue number.
The cardboard inner sleeve was subsequently replaced by a softer paper inner sleeve with the same design (obviously to avoid vinyl damage especially to the quiet ages).

Similar to another GEMA edition, Pyramid, which shows 'Made in Sweden' i.o. 'Made in ' on the centre labels and Swedish 7C-runouts.

Subsequently reissued in a gatefold sleeve with Ariola-distribution and catalog number 201 103.

This version by far sounds the best. I've compared US, UK, Swedish and this German pressed version easily wins. Very dynamic. The UK isn't bad at all and does come with a gatefold jacket, the Swedish is nice but too polite and the US is dull and uninvolving. I'll take the German press any day of the week.

Very good sound quality on this release. Pressing is lovely too. Still going to buy a UK original release of this album so i can see which i prefer more. I mean really this German original pressing sounds very lovely.
I made two needledrops of a couple tracks from this vinyl record - You can find them on the right side in the videos, under the name of:
The Alan Parsons Project - Shadow Of A Lonely Man (Pyramid) (1978 German Vinyl)
The Alan Parsons Project - In The Lap Of The Gods (Pyramid) (1978 German Vinyl)
