Edited 6 months agoI agree, I don't understand why there are no sidemen credits on this essential Corea album, particularly when their contributions are so strong. A gatefold album with three pictures of Corea, quotes from the I-Ching, and nothing about these two:
Bass – Miroslav Vitous
Drums – Roy Haynes
A very clear recording with stellar playing all around.
Later,. this trio would regroup in the 1980s for a couple of excellent albums on ECM -- Trio Music and Trio Music, Live in Europe. They did not play compositions from this album, however. -

Picked up a clean copy of this, even though I already own the recent Tone Poet version. This is such a good pressing, maybe, just maybe it is better than the TP?

Insane pressing of this record. Dynamic, rich and detailed. Chic and band are absolutely burning, the players are moving in and out of focus as the band gets quieter the soloist instrument takes over. It is clear great care was taken during the recording of this masterpiece. The clarity and power of the players is really present here. Highly recommend finding the cleanest copy you can.
