SCHOOL'S OUT was my 1st Alice Cooper album...bought about 15 minutes after my older/hipper cousinn schooled me that AC was not a female Folk singer - but a band. IMO, the best sounding ACG album. "Public Animal #9" shoulda been a single. My question - Liner notes mention the trombonist on "Blue Turk"...who is on sax? Buehler?

Report cards incl. a.o. in the uk as well as germn 1st pressinx.
My uk original provided w/2 rep cards and panties... -
I never understood why this was not included in the row of coloured reissues of their classic albums published by Warner between 2016- 2019. Maybe it's the next thing to do?

After listened only the A side, i gave 4 stars, but the B side goes in a completely different direction, mainly "My Stars, "Public Animal #9" and finally "Alma Mater" just raised the score.

Edited 2 years agoSchool's Out is such an under rated album. Sure, it has the MOST well-known title track but, nothing else of hit calibar (according the the 'Greatest Hits LP). Love It To Death has 3 hits, Killer has 3 hits, Billion Dollar Babies has 3 hits, Muscle of Love has 3 hits (3rd being Man with the Golden Gun). Schools Out is the only one (of the last 5) to not contain 3 mega hits, not even 2. That's not to say it's bad, it's far from that. I think it's the most comprehensive of the lot. A transitional album if you will. From the dark brooding previous two, to the glitzy upbeat shine of the latter two. It stands alone among the greatness as being the most listenable. Therefore, School's Out is my "go-to" AC LP.

This is another listing where variant 1 has the 1A and 1B listing seemingly backwards, at least according to my copy.

Crossing my fingers and hoping for a uk/Europe special 50th anniversary edition in 2022 of this which includes panties etc.
Come on Alice, please. -
I will venture to describe this album with one phrase - how young we were, how sincerely we wanted ... with the help of my friends, I even made a replica of the panties included there. oh my cooper. to which only the invention did not reach in his youth.

This is the bans first solid concept LP and Incredible Garage Rock only Alice & the Boys can provide! This is one of the bands if not the original bands best album. Scary, Fun & Bad Ass everything the 70's was about this record is Perfect!

I bought the UK copy just after release back in June 1972, and they did indeed have the paper panties wrapped around the LP, which shows the information above regarding them not being included in European versions is untrue.
