Edited 4 years agoToo bad that after this (to me) his music has been unnerving/confusing/irrelevant....
Don't get me wrong, I love Radiohead and this debut solo album but what followed ("Tomorrow...", "Suspiria", "Anima") it doesn't move me, all respectable, intelligent, even brave music but to my ears and my soul.... -
Great press and the first solo album of Thom Yorke. If you have the other 3 you will buy this to have complete Thom Yorke set then you will not be disappointed,. -
Fairly certain this pressing is 180g, no? Some surface noise on my copy at start of side B but fades quickly. -
Pressing is pretty good, it's virtually silent on Harrowdown Hill and Cymbal Rush. There is some surface noise at the start of side A but nothing that makes it unlistenable. -
Edited 7 years agoMore than 10 years later I'm sitting here listening to this and I'm still blown away. I think people will point to this record as a big influence on the direction Radiohead moved towards. This is Thom leading by example, and I can imagine the other Radiohead lads thinking, "yep, that'll do. Let's go about making In Rainbows".
I think this pressing is fantastic as well. Great production and mixing - I haven't found a digital version of Black Swan that I've loved as much this recording.
