This tape sounds very nice. It’s part of the “Digi-log” series, and if you’re familiar with them they’re usually good. The only thing that really drew me out of the experience was what I assume to be some NR artifacts during the in between spoken banter with the audience. When they speak there is a “hiss” that comes and goes with the speech, but the musical performances sounded fine and I didn’t notice any further weirdness (not that I gave it the most critical of listens but this is what stood out to me). I haven’t compared this to anything, but there is a bit of a “softness” to the overall presentation, it’s slightly muted, ever so lightly distorted, and honestly just sounds a generation or two removed, but considering this is a cassette it’s to be somewhat expected. Outside of that the noise floor is surprisingly low, and it’s one of the better commercially released cassettes I’ve heard.
