This is a great pressing and an awesome album. For some reason, this is one of my favorite albums. I listen to it and just smile. I would recommend it to anyone who wants some unique music.

On my copy of this album, the staging is great, there is lots of room between the instruments. My only complaint is that it's a little bright; the highs are a little tinny.

This is my copy I purchased in '82 with my allowance. I've kept it in near perfect condition and it sounds amazing today.

These days I'm able to appreciate the mixing which is superb, and this pressing is just wonderful. The instruments are staged nicely and drums sound nice and punchy. No complaints at all.

Why do you think it is taking so long to put out the MFSL version of this album? I've had a copy on pre-order now for way over a year. It's the same thing with Cindy Lauper's "True Colors" album. I think I pro-ordered these at ths same time. Yet, I pre-order both "Workingman's Dead and "American Beauty" on 45 rpm double albums and have received both of them. Very low numbers also, but it was like five months and these two titles where out already. Do you think it's due to larger pre-orders of The Dead's albums or something legally holding up these pressings?
