Boris Blank – Convergence

I got 2 versions of this record, The cover and Label are exactly the same but the cut is completely different. One of them has a very narrow runout and is much, much louder cut than the other one. The one which is louder has the pressing error on Smouldering Ashes. The silent one has hand written matrix (which I can't read properly) and the louder one has printed/stamped matrix runout. I bought my second one (the silent one) because I wanted to get rid of the pressing error but was really disappointed that the level was so much lower. Also the EQ seems to be less aggressive. The louder one sounds more spectacular.

Two of my copies are stuck in a loop due to a pressing error. On side 2, B2 (Smouldering Ashes), in the non-vocal section, there's an idle jump that keeps the record spinning endlessly in a loop. Has anyone else experienced the same issue?

Anyone compared this to decent streaming system playback ?. Is there a point of having this one as we know it doesn't come from analog world. I have a few "modern" albums that sound exactly the same, or worse !!! than streaming. For example: Melody Gardot " My One and only thrill " or Kingfish " just to name two. I believe most of Us do not rely solely on vinyl rig ?????

Malia has recorded her new album with the Swiss producer Boris Blank. The title "Convergence" is translated as "confluence" or "approach". The cool groovy Rhythm'n'Blues number "I Feel It Like You" sounds as if it had been written for a James Bond film. Connoisseur is obviously reminded of Yello's collaboration with the great Shirley Bassey.
