I think I'm dealing with a Mandela Effect here: for decades this song was known to me as "Son of Jamaica" -I mean the lead singer is carrying a kid on his right arm, when I was a kid myself I thought that that was his son- and I don't think that I ever saw it any way differently. But what struck me today: I went through a vast collection of singles from a fellow collector and noticed for the first time in my life that the title is now "Sun of Jamaica". I literally thought that it was a misprint, I even said to him that he had a misprint. He looked at me as if I was nuts. He said that it wasn't a misprint; that it was and had always been that title. I couldn't believe it. I'm still amazed. Sun of Jamaica? It was always Son of Jamaica. Anyone else had this experience? I had the same experience with Jim Croce. For decades, to me, it was always Jim Groce. We even joked around about it, as Groce sounds like Gross. Now it turns out it's Jim Croce...
