What an incredible album. This is probably the most experimental release from Mike. Just when everyone thought that he was going all the way into pop after "Earth Moving", here comes "Amarok", a 60 minute tour-de-force that goes all the way through Irish influences, African influences, Gipsy influences, and whatever you can think of influences blend into an amazing mixture of broken glasses, toothbrushes, guitars, shoes, and a whole lot more instruments. Everything sounds so beautiful and weird at the same time. Even if you hate Mike Oldfield, or even if you dont want anything to do with everything but Tubular Bells, take a peek at this one. It really opens some minds. Specially if you dont start fast forwarding the whole track.
