Made in England

Not Forgotten is sampled by the Enigma project on several tracks. Namely on the songs "The Voice of Enigma" (from the album MCMXC a.D.), "Second Chapter" (from the album The Cross of Changes) and "Le Roi Est Mort, Vive Le Roi!"
The voice that says "What's wrong with these people?" is taken from the film Mississippi Burning
Some copies came with a promotional sticker.

It's the Hard Hands mix, Original and Fateh's On The Case mix that Sasha used to DJ with.

If there was ever a track to play sitting next to an open fire, drinking a glass of wine and reminiscing - I think this may be it - a warm, cosy nostalgia bullet…

Arguably the First progressive house track - how can this be 1990?! so ahead of its time and production beyond what was being done - classic

the intro was sampled from the Vangelis Blade Runner soundtrack

The sample ("What's wrong with these people") is taken from the film "Mississippi Burning". At the final scene of the film a vandalised headstone is shown with the words “1964 Not Forgotten”. Is this how Leftfield came up with the track title?

Enigma actually sampled Not Forgotten's beginning intro, not the other way round...

I picking up a copy of this but it was a yellow (or maybe orange?) copy.. Hand written was Leftfileld- Not Forgotten .. It was the original mix with another unnamed tune on the other side.. Was it a bootleg?

The beat, which features prominently on 'Fateh's On The Case', is sampled from 'The New Rap Language'. Spoonie Gee and Treacherous Three - The New Rap Language / Love Rap

To my mind, these mixes are the best. Everyone bangs on about the 'Hard Hands' remix and it's also the mix that makes it onto the compilation albums. I'm glad. I find it cheesy. And that's before you throw Whitney Houston on the top of it.

Seminal tune, unique for the time, deep & delicious. The vocal sample ("What's wrong with these people") at the start of Not Forgotten is taken from the film "Mississippi Burning".

PS The comment above about this mix of Not Forgotten being cained @ Shelleys with the accapella of Whitney Houston being played over the top is incorrect - that was the Hard Hands remix of Not Forgotten, not the original mix ;o)
