Notes
Recorded on July, 1957.
Released: 1958-1960.
Some of the runouts are pressed on one side while being etched on the other side.
1st original pressing is:
- on deep grooved dark maroon-red labels with silver printing, Mercury Stereo on top, Living Presence High Fidelity with Mercury "head" logo on bottom.
- vertical (20%) colored on the right side of the back-cover
- FR1 or FR2 or simply "1" or "2" for the lacquer matrix stamped in the dead wax.
P17, that's probably meaning the cutting engineer is also present.
The "P17" indicates George Piros cut the lacquer and FR indicates the master was cut at Fine Recording Studios.
For variant 2: an "X" appears stamped below the catalog number just under the edge of the label. Differs from Verdi Overtures - minor label variations.
