I should have added, they have altered the cover artwork for this edition, re-presenting the cover image in b&w, apart from colouring a few items of fancy apparel. The blood and wounds, guck or whatever works well with the coloured tatters of scarf. It's a softer look and a nice change. The little mermen sport their outifts well.
MGMT proved with this album that music is ever-changing. Wonderful. -
Oracular Spectacular is the seminal album for MGMT and every track on it is pure fun! It's well-worth getting this version of the album as added are the four bonus tracks taken from the singles, so you don't have to get off your ass to play Metanoia separately. And plus plus the 3 extra videos, plus plus plus Japanese lyrics . . .
There is a similar Japanese release of Congratulations with 5 extra tracks, but it doesn't have the Siberian Breaks video. Siberian Breaks is one of my favourite tracks of all time and the video is mind boggling - I love the eye-bit which kicks in just after the six minute mark at what happens also to be a bit of music which has strange affects on my heart. [So I end up writing about another album here.]
