Edited 2 years agoThe cover is truly an anti-hommage to Depeche Mode's New Life (Re Mix) / Shout! (Rio Mix) UK 12" cover, I it took me a while in the 80s to figure it out, and, I also never had that 12" one of the few original DM 12"s that I don't have), but I just had to laugh, "There it is, I knew it was familiar".
Atrocious as this album appears to be to many old timers of this band, I loved this album when it came out even if the last two tracks are weak, and the title track is also a contender for exiting the album, but I truly enjoyed all the rest.
The early albums have their moments, but I'm not a BS/Ozzy fan in general. Best track, Zero The Hero. :)

Edited 2 years agoYes I my 80´s AIWA boombox equipped with DSL (Dynamic Super Loudness) system which created similar sound like this.
And one of the most tragical artworks ever. :-D -
A good album with bad mastering. It has it's charisma. I wonder if a remaster might make something of it.

This is Black Sabbath's worst album. You may ask yourself, with a singer from a band like Deep Purple and a line-up like that, what could go wrong? I'll tell you what can go wrong. Everything. The only song worth listening to over here is 'Zero the Hero'. Apart from this song, all the others are boring. The album is basically full of fillers. Apart from 'Zero the Hero', this doesn't sound like Sabbath at all. All in all, a very bad release from a brilliant band.
