Don’t understand why anyone in their right mind would consider this nu-metal? Nu-metal was a term for bands like Korn and Limp Bizkit, which Deftones are far far away from the sound of. Worst part is there doesn’t seem to be a way to fix this for the master release listing?

Amazing album! Normally some Nu Metal albums sound a bit on the dated side. This one sounds great and new every time I listen it. Deftones will live forever.

Every time I listen to this album, it's summer again, I'm a teenager, the world is a big fat mystery and I'm vaguely angry at everything. I have been listening to it for 17 years now, and it has never felt cheesy or outdated, NOT ONCE, that's how good it is. This ish right here is the soundtrack to youth.

How did a bunch of skate punks from SoCal make this thing? The only "teenager" album that I return to time and time again. It has stuck with me through all of my musical phases, enduring all the shifts and snobbery. It's simply TOO GOOD to leave. I have spent enough time with it to determine that the only parts I don't care for on the album are the choruses to Lotion and Head-Up. Beyond this, everything ranges from good to ridiculously great. This band is still alive and well 16 years later for a reason. This is definitely one of them.
