The original UK release on the Tri-colour Steamboat label was mastered by Gordon Vicary at Pye studios. I can't say what effect this has on the album as a whole, but the big single 'Just Dropped In' is a bit different to other versions I've heard. It's a much more musical mix - there's nothing new, but the fuzz-laden power chords are moved slightly to the back and guitars and electric pianos given an important bit of breathing room at the front. The stereo-panning effect is perhaps not so pronounced, but the solos are much more enjoyable. Worth a listen if you can track down a copy.
Many thanks to sebfact, swagski _kerry and other discogs s working on this site to establish where and by whom different records were mastered over the years, much appreciated.
