Anyone has two times sides I/J? I had two times K/L sides in my box so I can swap mine if anyone has the other record.

Edited 7 years agoI am looking for sides M/N because in my unopened boxset there were twice sides K/L - both in excellent condition until now. I can sell/swap one if anyone had the M/N sides or just was missing it.

Is there no tracklist in this box??? I Have only the seven vinyls in a white sleeve and the foldout-insert. The backside of the box is black with a barcode-sticker.

It's a different concept and I'll commend them for that but it just seems silly at the end of the day. I've never had a good experience w/ 45's mastered at 33 1/3. Plus I don't mind flipping my albums every 3-5 songs but this would just get tedious when you want to sit back and enjoy the whole package.

I absolutely love 'King For A Day Fool For A Lifetime' and the idea of this box set is a great one. All the tracks from the album, plus the great b-sides from the singles and short interviews with each band member with the exception of Trey Spruance the guitarist for the album, whose interview was replaced by fill-in tour guitarist Dean Menta's following Trey Spruance's departure after the album had been completed.
The blueprint is a good one then and a nice little box set which was packaged very well in a hard black outer box, a nice hthick card fold out bio and album review by Phil Alexander from Kerrang! Magazine.
There is an issue though caused by the constraints of the format chosen. For the format chosen though, the results achieved are great. They sound fantastic for the format concerned (33⅓ RPM 7" single). This combination (vinyl size and rpm) gave Metropolis Mastering severe limitations, but they made a great pressing and achieved a fantastic sound quality in spite of the limitations of the media they were working with.
However it does not compare favorably to the LP, the CD and the 45rpm 12" format that most of the B-Sides were available on. For what it is, it's good. Vinyl pressed at this speed at that side works against severe limitations and the sound has to be compressed with a massive loss, you get messy highs, indistinct lows and a lot of fuzz and distortion - an issue which has been offset by expert mastering and pressing. Again, hats off to Metropolis and Jack Adams.
