Edited 9 years agoAgree with what Glassical said. This comp. is a must have, whether you are just discovering Hospital Prod. for the first time, or a hardcore noise fanatic (in which case you probably already own this). Each of the 4 side has a slightly different approach, with the 'Electron' side being my favorite by far and the release is worth buying for the material on that side alone. This release market the end of an era, as Hospital Prod. closed the doors to their store location soon after this release and a new era of the label was ushered in. My second favorite electronic/noise compilation of all time ("Field Tales" [HOS-081] 3xCass takes the nr. 1 spot for me).

Pretty much every track on this comp is good in some way. Most of the material provided is very well done. Its worth noting that many of the lesser-known artists, such as Whorebutcher, Geography Of Hell, and Ahlzagailzehguh provide tracks that outshine the tracks made by the veterans/ legends of noise music.
This is, by all means a fantastic example of both new and old noise musicians. The tracks range from good to great, with the only mediocre track being Con-Dom's closer (I say this because Mike Dando is capable of doing better than what he did for this particular comp.)
I highly suggest this comp to both people familiar with the noise scene, as well as people new to noise. It serves as both a good overview of the noise genre, and an entertaining way to kill 2 hours.
