    The demos here are outstanding insight to the process of some of the songs. The demo for "tea in the Sahara" in particular has a cool guitar track (Sting?) which was a standout. Agreed the book could have included photos from the studio , especially since the descriptive text hints at the separate rooms at AIR studios used by the band individually. The master tape photos are legible, you may need a magnifying glass for some. Outstanding deluxe set. Would love to see more records of this era get this treatment.

      Normally i dont buy cd's. But the vinyl release is missing the demo's. The demo's are are a real bonus.

        Love the comprehensiveness of this set - demos, outtakes, rough mixes, live versions… very satiating to listen to different versions. Even the booklet is fantastic! But I do have a few gripes… the booklet could have more detailed info on the bonus tracks, “Miss Gradenko” and “Mother” (non-Sting written) are the only album songs missing their demo versions… tape box images could be larger too, could add track sheet photos & Montserrat session photos (not just album cover shoots). Can be more insightful, that’s all.

            Interesting material, I'm impressed by the quality of the demos, they could easily be released, obviously as a Sting album. Some unreleased tracks would appear on Stewart Copeland's album Rumble Fish, they could re-release the Synchronicity Concert from Atlanta, some tracks appear here and the noise from the audience was reduced to a minimum, leaving the band's level during their shows evident. The last two discs feature the Oakland Stadium performance on 09/10/83, part of Sting's speeches to the audience were edited. The sound quality is impressive.
