This is a excellent set. It has a nice I was there type of sound to it. Just the way a live presentation should be. Glad to have this…

My copy is flat and it's a great sounding soundboard. No complaints. Gotta love Bruce and Melvin tearin' it up behind Jerry G.

1st copy all discs bady warped that affected sound. Exchanged at LRS and second copy much better. The eched disc is badly cupped though it plays excellent with a disc weight on it. All discs play without distortion or surface noise or crackle (huge win). As mentioned it's from a soundboard, but the sound is growing on me and the versions are mostly great with a few underwhelming moments and some killer moments. Box is decent, strong, hinged opening, individually double-sleeved discs with clear trak info ( I replaced paper inners with poly).

I couldn’t disagree more with “lazy artwork” comments, I absolutely love the art!!! Now if they’d just press GarciaLive 6 I’d be ecstatic.

As d this is direct from the soundboard and has no additional mastering. If you have owned a copy of the soundboard or had the Pure Jerry release than you know exactly what you are getting sound quality wise. As far as this release, the records are in paper sleeves and has the light scratching as evidence. These records are also dish-warped but neither this nor the light scratches effect playback. The artwork on the box is not up to typical Garcia/Grateful Dead standards. All in all I find this to be a very lazy presentation and a cash grab but the show is hot and if you want it on vinyl in addition to or rather than CD you won't be bummed with the quality as long as you understand this is simply a direct copy from the soundboard.

Recording quality is ok, not great, but the show is smoking hot. Some discs dish-warped, but otherwise no defects. Package design in gorgeous.
