I got to it I’m a little confused but, I’m not hearing the hype behind this album. I did an A/B test with a NM 79 press and I found the 79 press sounds more “natural” and louder at the volume dialed in at the same level on both copies. There is twice as much deadwax on this release than the ‘79 on side A and the same amount of deadwax on side B. Just an observation.

Really great pressing. It fixes all the issues found on the 2016 remaster. Everything is more clear and not distorted. The drums are clearly aligned and the bass is also smooth.

Just did an A/B comparison with my OG Canadian pressing, which is considered a great pressing. This kicks @ss, particularly Side 2. There is a bigger soundstage and Water's bass just pounds. No regrets on this purchase. 😎🇨🇦

The dry vocals on Pigs on the Wing was jarring to say the least. I wasn't ready for that. My initial thought was that I made a horrible mistake in buying this version over the original, but after a few spins I've fully come around. I can hear a few minor differences here and there, but nothing that makes me strongly prefer the 2018 remix over the original. Overall it sounds fantastic. The booklet with the artwork is a nice touch, considering that the remix has a modernized album cover.

Sounds phenomenal! Hands down, the quietest new Pink Floyd vinyl I’ve ever purchased. I overlooked this album for so long, until this remix came out and I kept seeing YouTube videos about it. So I caved and bought it. Very glad I did! Side 2 Especially rocks! I don’t even care to hear the original mix. I think it’s best I don’t. I’ll just stick with this. Highly recommended

I prefer the original cover of course, but this remix sounds fantastic. Nothing to complain about at all there, and the gatefold sleeve and included anniversary art book is nice as well

Sounds a million times better than my OG, the best remix I’ve ever heard. Top notch. Wish they didn’t change the cover but it’s ok

I’m not usually a fan of most remasters, let alone remixes, but this is just a totally different world than the original! Simply massive soundstage that fills the room to every corner! My copy is absolutely perfect as far as I can tell. Easy 5 stars!!! One of the best Christmas presents I’ve ever gotten!

It's the best copy I've ever heard of this album. I'm not a fan of the cover. I guess it may grow in me, or perhaps I may just put this record in an original sleeve.

Before listening I cleaned using a VPI 16.5 machine. I only had noise on the lead-ins on each side that lasted under a minute.
The album has the right amount of everything to me. The depth is nice along with the low bass, improved detail and separation. The air and dynamics are there intact as well which was something I was worried about.
I think comparing to the original isn’t the most productive because you got hella emotions tied with that album. Many hear it thru rose tinted lenses you feel me? I personally believe it’s a great addition and vast improvement and the pressing was no problem with me.
