Notes

This edition has "Blue Note Records Inc • New York USA" labels, RVG stamped, no deep groove, no Plastylite P stamp. Laminated front cover with "Blue Note Records Inc., 43 West 61st St., New York 23" address on lower back cover. Should come with a 27 Years Blue Note inner sleeve with Dexter Gordon "Gettin' Around" album pictured column 6 row 4. Issued in 1966 after Blue Note was sold to Liberty Records Inc. Very faint 114 etches indicate a pressing by All Disc Records, Inc..

There is another mono Liberty pressing with "A Division of Liberty Records Inc." on labels here: Hank Mobley - Soul Station

Recorded on February 7, 1960.

Wynton Kelly and Paul Chambers perform by courtesy of Vee-Jay Records

One thing that trips me out is that there are no known Plastylite pressings of this with New York USA labels but that was the label address going back to 1962. This album must have been set for a repress by Plastylite but it never happened and Liberty did it with the existing label stock.
