Considering the sheer quality of this album, this needs an audiophile reissue. The lyrics and music are magic, however the quality of the mastering isn’t as good as this record deserves. Not bad but whether I listen to it on my earphones vs this, it wouldn’t mind either

Edited 10 months agoDon’t know if it warrants a seperate release. I have the same runout etchings as this 2021 European pressing release. However, the sleeve on my copy says made in USA in the back with the 20 Jay Street address.
As others have pointed out, this sounds a bit flat. Not bad per se, but was wishing for better dynamics…But comparing it to the digital version, it’s just how the album was mixed. The record is dirty out of the box cuz it skipped 3-4 times. I replayed it where the skips happened and they disappeared so it’s not scratches but really dirt causing it. I’ll have to give it a good clean. Went through it with my Grado headphones and it sounds okay. Some mild groove distortion is noticeable at the end of side 1 such as “I Want It All” and “No. 1 Party Anthem”. “I Wanna Be Yours” on side 2 suffers from this as well. Overall, this is listenable but it’s definitely my least favourite Arctic Monkeys pressing I’ve heard out of all their discography. -

If you are like me who have tried at least 5 pressings of this record and could not find the "best pressing."
This is where you stop, this may be the best-sounding pressing yet. I live in the US and all the pressings here are, pardon me, sh!t.
I bought Favourite Worst Nightmare EU Pressing and that made me decide to replace all my US pressings with the newer EU pressings. Best choice I made for AM albums.

My copy had distortion issues on the side channels, mostly the left channel. Other than that detrimental problem the record was decent. No warp, good master, etc. A replacement has been sent to me and I haven't received it yet. -
Flawless pressing and my vinyl was irreprochable. The sound is full of dynamics. A full hit -
Mastering is perfect by Chris Bellman the pressing on the other hand is dish_warped noisy side one is full of crackle.
Sonic cleaned improved but not fixed,so as you do I will return this junk pressing to try yet again..
I will update my second purchase fingers crossed!
