Holy! This sounds so good! It reminded me of the Jimi Hendrix Experience full analog reissues. Very punchy and so much air between the guitar, drums and vocals. Wow.
Sturdy gatefold and beautiful packaging. Also for the price, this is such an excellent reissue.
I am more than happy to have this in my collection. -

Bought new. Fourth disc was missing the label. I told the shop owner that was the first time I've ever had this happen. He said it was Jack White's printing plant. Wtf! Jack decided to start printing his own vinyl?

Wow…this pressing sounds amazing. Punchy and crystal clear..the guitars sound like a real amp.
Zero surface noise at all. The way to tell if you get this 2022 copy is the barcode ending in “4019”.
Not pressed at United…I’m sure of that. -
I had the 20th Anniversary Edition, and I thought it sounded ok. I decided to pick up this version and I'm so glad I did. This pressing is far better! There is so much more punch, bass, and clarity compared to 20th anniversary. If you are considering either, go with this one IMO.

Third Man needs to improve their quality control. My copy had vinyl shavings sticking out from the center holes on the B and D sides preventing discs from resting on the platter. As a result, A and C (with two best songs on this album IMO) sides sounded thin, lacking midrage. To my relief, the sound was much improved after some hacking with the exacto knife. Decent press otherwise.

This is a really good sounding press! Heavy vinyl and a beautiful thick stock gatefold jacket. It really cranks on my system! My only complaints would be that both LPs are just a tad warped and slightly off centered (QC strikes again)… nothing that ruins it for me although you’d expect more from TMR and for what you’ll most likely pay for this.

Question: this is listed as having been pressed at TMR, but the labels say "Pressed at United Record Pressing in Nashville, TN." Can anyone confirm this is in fact pressed TMR, despite what the labels say?
-
Now this is a record. Too many pressed just don't sell the reason for keeping vinyl around. This one slays. Not mentioned on the wrap, but these are 200 g disks.

Edited 2 years agoThe version i got was chock full of issues. Surface noise, off center, really badly cut center. I could not clean it to save it. Got another copy to try it but the quality control is not consistent. Doesn’t sound that dynamic after first listen either. Tried 2 copies. Covered in finger prints, dirt n surface scratches in a paper sleeve. Of all people that id imagine have higher standards it’s Jack White. These are not that amazing on album. Im not sure what others are glowing about even if you look past the vinyl flaws the sounds are so flat on leveling. Nothing special at all about it on vinyl… guessing this was from a very compressed master. I have a raconteurs album too and it’s so much more full n distinct.
