Edited 6 years ago"Hard rock" -- Ha, ha, ha, ha. Synth pop, like Kenny Loggins and all that '80s fluffy soundtrack pop with leg warmers and feathered hair; they changed their sound for the pop sales. Word got a distribution deal with A&M/RCA in late '84, and this album was the first out (next, Amy Grant's UNGUARDED, which was a monster seller, c. May, 1985) on both Word's Christian bookstores regular version, Star Song Records, and A&M secular distribution, c. January, 1985. Purportedly only 10% of the copies sold through secular stores; the bulk of its sales were in Christian bookshops. Lp topped the Billboard TOP INSPIRATIONAL ALBUM CHARTS (40 position chart published every four weeks) before Amy Grant's album displaced it.
