Sadly, this package came with some bad seam splits on the inner for my copy. Quickly used a black inner sleeve to prevent anything further.
Anyway, this is one of Sum 41’s best and for some reason most stupidly overpriced albums to have found on vinyl prior to this year. For me to get it for £50 to the UK made me very happy. This colour is magnificent, it suits so well, the sound is so good, and it sits very nicely next to my black and red copy of Chuck. Nice job on this one. -
Edited 3 years agoI'm really split on my rating. I'm a huge fan of The Sums and this album is full of bangers.
The record sounds great, holo jacket, big lyric book.
But 55 bucks is a huge price regardless of how much I love the album (even if the older pressings are selling for twice or more), and there's no gatefold or bonus songs like in the older preasings.
If you dont care about those then it's a 5/5 but this pressing feels like a lot of money for less than the original content. -
i know i’m not the only 12-15 year old who mp3’d or CD’d the fuck outta this album. first thoughts: excellent package. the holo’d jacket is sweet, and the wax is thick. i’m bummed the green on the hype sticker is nothing like the actual color of the wax, but the description is right on — definitely a khaki green. as it turns out, imo, of the four RSD variants, this one best fits the album cover all-around... plus, the green label is perfect for the cover’s background.
most importantly, sonically, this is.. pretty good.. pressed perfectly centered and flat, but there are a few crackles here and there, and the sound itself is pretty muffled and — into itself? maybe i’m being nitpicky, but it doesn’t sound much better if any better than listening digitally. also, it’s not at all cheap to buy even at retail from canada ($55 shipped to the US), but certainly worth it for any fan. for that, and the fact any other pre-2021 press costs way more, i 100% recommend it.
