As this identical record is subbed also as Dutch and German, maybe a vote should be made as to which country it should belong to avoid confusion? -
I think it should be noted and possibly voted on as Captain Beefheart And His Magic Band's debut single "Diddy Wah Diddy" was definately released in Belgium in 1966. I have seen it dated elsewhere as 1968 but Roy Orbison released 3 singles in Belgium on London Records in 1966 that I know of..
"Crawling Back" on London 5.539 (*Discogs - r2200207 )
"Breakin' Up Is Breakin' My Heart" on London 5.547 [*Discogs r5796159] and
"Too Soon To Know" on London 5.581.
As Captain Beefheart And His Magic Bands, London Records Cat No. was 5.559 - This would seem to give credence that 1966 is the correct date and Belgium should probably be the correct country?
NB. Even if as I was told, it was distributed in Holland and , as there are so few copies in circulation I find this unlikely..
