My copy is thick, flat and sound is clear and very dynamic. Packaging is top tier too. The colored variants are beautiful. Great album to have in your collection from one of the best bands in music history.

This very sexy Who disc set, which was a special release for Record Store Day, is here to delight the most ardent Who fanatics with its superlative sound, fantastic tunes, and of course, such wonderful packaging. I know I will be personally poring over the artwork for many hours, particularly whilst perched on the porcelain pedestal. Thank you, Roger Daltrey, for all you do to help ease and relieve, my constipation!!

The recording suffers from typical 80's compression. It doesn't seem like the remastering corrected that. This is especially evident in the compressed drum sounds. In general, Pete was not pleased with the original audio and this remastering might be reflective of whatever the source material was they used. I don't think they went back to the original master tapes and then remixed and remastered from those, at least to my ears.

Has anyone else noticed bad distortion on "Another Tricky Day"? Was loving this release until I got to that part, and it was unbearable! Did I just get a bad copy?

Lack of high frequencies detracts from an otherwise excellent reissue pressing and package. No twiddling of knobs is able to restore the upper range, so that part is rather flat. The low end, however, is rich and full. A near-miss.

this is a beautiful rsd edition if this 1981 post moon who lp wich turned 40 years old back in march, ( god i buying this the day it came out on 3/16/81 ) anyway regardless of the mixed reviews this got i always loved this record, the moon era was over, it was the early 80s & this was the whos new start at new compositions by townshend & i liked what the ox added to this as well, anyway this 2021 rsd release sounds great!!! its a half speed remaster, both records are beautiful!!! lp #1 is on thick very bright loud deep blue vinyl, lp#2 is on thick deep yellow vinyl & this also comes with 4 nice 12 inch prints of alternative artwork for this peter blake sleeve!!!, anyway job very well done. my favorite who era was the pre tommy era but there is something great about every who record, i loved petes wacked out guitar sound on certain tracks on this lp especially on tracks like THE QUIET ONE, ANOTHER TRICKY DAY, YOU,& HOW CAN YOU DO IT ALONE, THE BONUS TRACKS ON LP #2 ARE GREAT AS WELL, ALWAYS LIKED THAT TRACK i like nightmares............. we are already halfway through 2021 and w/ the recent SELL OUT BOX SET & lp sets we have got a lot of great vintage WHO this year so far............................
