This is one of the best albums ever. So underrated. Great sounding recording too, those great country rock harmonies over lots of fat bass.

Fantastic record, at the time well-received but underrated now in the pantheon of psych-turned-country bands like Moby Grape and The Byrds. This one and "Pick Up The Pieces" are two fine examples of records responsible for turning on the hippies to a seemingly antithetical genre of music, but the two mesh seamlessly here. There's plenty of heavy organ and psychedelic effects, but with the added touches of pedal steel and banjo, and the gentle, rolling songwriting goes well with the more Technicolor freak-outs like the 18+ minute closing track.

I'd recommend this to anyone who likes "Sweetheart of the Rodeo" or "Moby Grape '69" and wants a little bit country in their rock n' roll.
