This is absolutely the BEST sounding pressing! My search is over. I bought 4 copies, a 1975 POGO, 1975 Winchester, and a 1977 Repressing in Mint condition. I wasn't happy with any of those. Then I bought this MFSL, and Holy Cow, this is the ONE. It actually sounds like a different album, so much atmosphere in the soft parts, and more details, and punch. Yup very happy.

The best sounding versions of this release are the earlier pressings, without "RE-1" in the runout, but regardless, this is an excellent sounding release from MFSL's glory days, and thoroughly recommendable.

This was offered to me in a small collection for an incredible price so I took it. Obviously a good pressing but when A/B with a first year Winchester pressing I already owned the original clearly won out.
I’m not sure why this Mofi copy is so much $ but I’m happy to list mine for sale and will use the $ to buy more original pressings as 99/100 the OG sounds better to me. -
This is an record of amazing quality. Glorious sound with a phenomenal clearness and separation of the instruments. I can’t believe there is a better pressing made.

I have an early US pressing of this album too, and of course it sounds great, but when it's time to spin this album THIS Mofi version is the one I reach for. It's that good, it just makes everything you like about the album and band even better.
-
I have to agree that the dynamic range on this pressing is outstanding. But compared to the first japanese pressing it has less mid range. I think I heard More Details in the japanese pressing. But it is not as dynamic as this one. It depends on what you prefer. All in all you can‘t go wrong with this Mofi pressing. Great one !
