Edited 4 days agoNo clicks or pops. Flawless pressing and mastering. Sounds fantastic. Get it while you can.

Edited 4 months agoVH are one of my all time favorite rock bands and for some stupid reason I went all this time without ever owing any of their albums on vinyl. (I have all of their albums on OG CDs) I was gonna buy the DLR era VH on the MFSL OneSteps, but the price for all 6 albums is frightfully expensive were I live (about 1900 AUD). But I’m more than happy with these CB remasters. This pressing of 1984 sounds better than my OG CD, better and more present bass, I don’t get the top end harshness that others are reporting and the midrange is clear and has really good separation. Also, the 180g vinyl was quiet, spins flat and it’s very reasonably priced (bought my sealed copy for 45 AUD). Really happy with these CB pressings (I only have VH II and Diver Down left to purchase to complete the DLR era collection.)
**Update: I now have all of the CB mastered DLR era VH records. Absolutely stoked! -
Edited one year agoAwesome pressing! CB & BG did a splendid job! Grew up listening to songs from this album. Really happy listening to this vinyl. Absolutely fantastic!

Clearly people whingeing about higher frequency need a better set-up that either smooth higher end rolling off the harsher topend or speakers that can transform the sound...

I don’t know how anyone can like this sound, it’s just terrible, the high frequencies (cymbals) just destroy my ears -
catastrophe
After that I bought the American original LP (first press) and everything is fine there.
Gentlemen, manufacturers, it’s time for you to take a rest, change your profession, I haven’t heard such a thing in my entire life - it’s a waste of money -

My ears didn't like the sound of this release. A lot of high frequencies. They are sharp, dry, prickly, some kind of artificial (synthetic). By the end of the record, the ears were tired of the sound. Low frequencies are enough, medium frequencies sometimes sink. The dynamics are good, the stage is narrow. The disk is heavy, smooth, well centered. The mass is quiet, without clicks and other artifacts. The printing of the envelope is beautiful, the photo is clear. An inner envelope made of thick cardboard with photos without antistatic. The lyrics are missing. My overall score is 3.5 out of 5.
