Also “Kissin Time” is on label track 1 but NOT on back cover and is not actually on record, Deuce is track 1

Has anyone seen this variant?

has anyone ever seen a copy with "RCA Music Service" jacket Kiss - Kiss vinyl? they are both from 76-77 but in almost 50 years it's certainly possible someone swapped the jacket+vinyl from other copies.

I have a copy that does not have Kissin’ Time on the jacket, but does have it on the label (B1), but the song is not actually present. It starts with Deuce like the true first press. Obviously the wrong label was put on Side II. Has anybody seen this before? I can’t seem to find something like this anywhere. I believe it’s a Terre Haute pressing.

Comparing a copy of this original pressing to my '77 reissue (https://discogs.sitiosdesbloqueados.info/release/5147507-Kiss-Kiss), I'm noticing the overall sound quality is pretty similar between the two. A surprising feature with the OP, though, has perhaps escaped the attention of most fans: an endless runout of recorded sound that completes the album! The slow melt of "Black Diamond" (foreshadowing the likes of Sun (((O))), no doubt) fades and dissembles into the simple, slight sound of a hi-hat closing for infinity. The '77 reissue most certainly does not have this feature, making it an expressly unique quality of the original pressings*. This, IMO, makes them even more valuable, demonstrating one of the unique qualities of vinyl that cannot be duplicated by cassette or CD.
* I do not have any other pressings, and don't know for certain when the infinite loop was removed. If anyone does, please let us know!

As a lifelong KISS fan, I've heard this album countless times.

Aside from some filler tracks ("Let Me Know," "Kissin' Time," and "Love Theme from KISS"), this is a classic album and the one that started it all. There was no greater sense of awe than seeing the cover for the very first time and being mesmerized by the four makeup-clad faces looking back at you. It's not their best by far, but as far as debuts go, this one is hard to top.

Just picked up a copy of this in a thrift shop that has a twist, see below for that.

Kissin’ Time is NOT listed on the jacket OR on the label & wax. I believe that makes it a true First Pressing. The runouts do not match exactly but are really close to all 5 variants.

They are as follows:

Side 1:
1T NB (something scratched out) 9001-60001-1B BellSound Joe CTH A1
Side 2:
1T NB (something scratched out) 9001-60002-1B BellSound CTH Joe B2 (although it could be D2)

The twist is that the the label for Side 1 has no track list printed on it.

I’m wondering if I should add this as a new release with a misprint ?

This review is for the early pressing of the KISS debut album without the song Kissin’ Time.

I compared this pressing to the 2014 reissue and a first pressing of the disc in the release of The Originals.

The 2014 reissue, much like all I’ve heard from that time, sounds way too muddy and bass filled to me.

The copy from The Originals sounds great but this pressing sounds even better! Much more separation in the instruments and vocals plus overall it is much brighter or some may say hotter.

However you want to describe it, this pressing sounds the best of any I’ve heard.

I miss Kissin’ Time which was added later but as a fan from the 70s I’m thrilled to have this in my collection.

Once I have an early pressing copy with Kissin’ Time I’ll update this review.

Picked up a version of this, exact same stampers as matrix variant 1, with Kissin’ Time listed on the label but not pressed on the wax, not listed on the jacket.

A lot of comments in here that have nothing to do with the first pressing of this album…
