Copy I have is nice and clean, has been pressed well as no noise at all throughout the album. Best album by Coldplay for me, Yellow is one of those tracks/songs that will always be played.

Side B on my pressing has an insane amount of pops. It’s so distracting. It takes away so much from the music. Side A was not like that. Side A was a great listen. The yellow wax is beautiful but I don’t understand why my pressing is so bad.

Mine has a piece of what looks like string embedded in the vinyl, it doesn't affect the sound quality at all, would this affect the price?

I have this and the black pressing as well. It’s bizarre that this has 51 reviews as of writing. It’s not at all better than the black pressing for $20. In fact, I’d say the black is superior in it had not a single noise, when the yellow had one or two. I also think the black has tighter bass. Sounds great but it’s not the best version

I use this record as an example of how good a modern pressing can sound. Just brilliant.

Near perfect pressing. No warps, surface noise is barely there, and no buzzing at all. There is a small black dot in the pressing itself, but it’s just cosmetic (doesn’t affect the sound at all).

For someone that has only heard this on CD, hearing this version was a revelation. A much warmer and richer sound in comparison, very pleasant to listen to. I had no surface noise on my copy, but did have a slight warp (which didn't affect play). Yellow vinyl looks great too, don't hesitate to pick this up.

I'm blown away at how perfect this mix is. Pressings like this are why I collect.

How many of these were pressed? Wondering how much I should pay for a copy.

Parachutes is my favourite album of all time - as you can probably tell from the globe in my profile photo; the very globe which also adorns the Parachutes artwork. Parachutes has been with me now for 22 years and counting (I'm 36 as I write this - so the best part of 2/3 of my life) and I know it inside out. I have listened to it hundreds, if not thousands of times over. I have an original 1st pressing from 2000 - the pressing which, on the majority of the tracks, what you are listening to are direct tape transfers - and this pressing runs it extremely close. It sounds incredible. It is how I imagine an original 1st pressing from 2000 would sound in Mint condition (unfortunately, my copy is 2nd hand and as such hasn't been treated with the care and attention that I treat my records!). I am unable to do a side-by-side comparison - but for my money, for a reissue or a repress, this as close as you can get to hearing how Chris, Jonny, Guy and Will sounded in Parr Street, Rockfield, and wherever else in 1999 - 2000.

The pressing is dynamic, punchy, rich and clean sounding. Separation is excellent, particular on the quieter tracks. Everything is extremely well balanced. It does not sound remastered from the original recordings - it just sounds like a clean copy of the 1st pressing. Pressing it on transluscent, yellow vinyl was an especially nice touch too. It just looks and sounds great!
