Edited 20 years agoThe original version. although not all that, er, original, has it's uses. , this kind of stuff is *not* meant to stand on its own, so it's futile to judge it that way. I would never come to an opinion on a track like this without trying to mix it and seeing what it sounds like. In fact, this works very well indeed in that context - especially on 3 decks. For a v nice effect try it with virtually any tool made by Ben Sims (on the third deck - maybe cut the mid and bass) plus at the same time, 'Tres Demented' by Tres Demented, the first 4-5 mins of which are minimal with no bass, ideal! Controllable mayhem!
