Can anyone who has this vinyl comment on whether or not this nearly 6 minute version is an extended version, or merely a mix of "Start" and "I Don't " as heard on the album?
-
Just picked up a copy and I Don't sounds horrible, a muffled mess with overpowered drums. Bad mix/mastering. Is this normal?

Edited 3 years agoJust listened to this EP recently after years of criminally forgetting about it and like another reviewer says, “Biko” (as featured here in nearly 9 minutes of glory) certainly is the definitive version of this very powerful song.
-
The version of Biko on this EP is absolutely definitive, in my view. It features a different intro and outro of the African singers, Gabriel's vocal performance is completely new and significantly more powerful, the bagpipes are much lower in the mix... overall, this should have been the album version.
